Universal Building Services started in 1963 as a garage-based, 2 person business. From those humble beginnings, UBS has grown to become a building maintenance presence throughout Northern and Central California. UBS corporate headquarters is currently located in Richmond, California and district offices are in place throughout our region of service.

While Universal Building Services' Janitorial Division cleans buildings, the UBS Power Sweeping Division cleans the parking lots and streets around those buildings. In addition, the UBS Supply Division provides maintenance equipment, cleaning materials and restroom supplies to customers throughout California.

The steady growth of Universal Building Services is due to the company's commitment to provide the highest quality, yet most cost-effective services and products for its clients.

Universal Building Services' clients vary in size from small one-person businesses to multi-building campuses with thousands of employees. UBS services all types of facilities, including business offices, bank branches, churches, schools, food and beverage processing facilities, biotechnology laboratories, electronics research and development plants and their clean rooms, chemical production facilities, governmental offices of all levels, computer software and hardware companies and manufacturing facilities.
